ABOUT
Leaders asked for amends to reports, sharper slides, tighter emails, and stronger announcements.
But the more I worked, the more I realised: the messages weren’t the problem.
The real issues were human. Misalignment. Broken trust. People talking past each other. A lack of baseline skills in how to connect, listen, and read the room.
The pandemic only intensified this. In hybrid workplaces, I watched small slights escalate into big blow-ups because people had forgotten how to “human” at work.
I saw decisions stall because leaders didn’t cascade information — or because people simply didn’t agree with them. I saw trust fracture because no one took the time to connect before they communicated.
Over time, my work moved beyond polishing messages. I went upstream — asking why projects stalled, why leaders were misaligned, why information wasn’t flowing. What I found is what I work with today.
